Details

This 310,000 square-foot, four-level stand-alone parking structure with 841 spaces is part of a recent redevelopment effort along the Mohawk River. The precast garage provided a number of benefits to the rapid construction schedule, including flexibility and aesthetic versatility.

The garage features a mixed-use valet area at grade, a cantilever stair canopy at roof level, a large sign wall facing the street with precast back-up, and distinctive checkerboard finish panels. The casino sits so close to the adjacent parking structure that the two overlap. First-floor portions of the casino extend into the parking area, requiring additional attention to separate functions.

The base color of the garage consists of a bright white cement mix complemented by a gray stone-like appearance, created with a custom formliner that provides contrasting color and texture options on the stair towers and column covers. The formliner texture also was used on shear-wall panels.
