Details

Peckham Road Corp. was the low bidder on a NYSDOT Region 8 project to rehabilitate NYS Route 44 in Dutchess County.

In late spring of 2020 amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, Peckham Road Corp. began the rehabilitation of State Route 44.

The project length was 4.4 miles stretching from the Town of Pleasant Valley to the City of Poughkeepsie. The 4.4 miles were milled and overlaid, and sidewalks were altered to make them ADA compliant. Within that 4.4 miles, Peckham Road Corp. milled 2000’ at a 4” depth and filled it with a 19 mm binder, to better support the heavy amounts of traffic. The balance of the 4.4 miles was then milled at a depth of 1.5” and the entire section was topped with 1.5” of 12.5mm mix.

When the job is complete by the end of June of 2020, we will have completed approximately $3.4 million worth of work. The Route 44 project has been an excellent way for Peckham Road Corp. to kick off the 2020 season.
