JSL Materials, Inc.
Our History
The company now known as JSL Materials (including John S. Lane & Son and JSL Asphalt) was started in 1890 through the pioneering efforts of John S. Lane. Employed by the railroad, Mr. Lane had the foresight and vision to discover the need for aggregates to support the railroad tracks. From that early beginning well over a century ago, the company has grown to encompass multiple quarry locations in Massachusetts and an asphalt facility in Connecticut. In 2020, John S. Lane joined the Peckham family of companies.
